Think “American Idol” for all instruments, and you will get close to the excitement level felt at this year’s RISING STAR MUSIC COMPETITION at the FRISCO SCHOOL OF MUSIC. The Competition was held on Saturday April 16, 2011 at the Frisco School of Music’s Performance Hall. Music students ages 9-18 competed in two age categories, performing on their instrument of choice: piano, guitar, bass, voice and drums. Plus, the new “multi-talent” category boasted singers who accompanied themselves on piano, guitar and mandolin. The Frisco School of Music teaches exceptional private and group music lessons for all ages and levels on all instruments, plus Rock School Band, Jazz School Band and summer camps.
